Auro-3D is an immersive 3D audio format. It is designed along three layers of sound (surround, height and overhead ceiling), building on the single horizontal layer used in the 5.1 sound format. Auro-3D creates a spatial sound field by adding a height layer around the audience on top of the traditional 2D surround sound system. This additional layer reveals both localized sounds and height reflections complementing the sounds that exist in the lower surround layer. The height information that is captured during recording is mixed into a standard 5.1 surround PCM carrier, and during playback the Auro-3D decoder extracts the originally recorded height channels from this stream.

The Cribs mark a welcome return with their new album For All My Sisters. The band’s sixth studio album, it follows 2013’s career spanning ‘Payola’ collection and 2012’s Top 10 album ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’. Having reconvened in Wakefield and Portland, the band decamped to New York and Magic Shop studio with legendary producer and The Cars frontman Ric Ocasek (Weezer) to begin recording. For All My Sisters marks the start of the next chapter, in a decade long existence that has seen the band continually evolve and thrill, ever advancing whilst stockpiling an enviable arsenal of songs.

Gary Moore is one of the best rock and blues guitarists ever to come out of Ireland. Following stints in Skid Row, Thin Lizzy and Colosseum II, he began a hugely successful solo career in the eighties. Gary Moore has been a frequent visitor to Montreux over the years and brings together his very best performances from five different concerts between 1990 and 2001.

This unique concert was filmed at the London Hippodrome on October 25th 2007. It formed a part of the launch for the Jimi Hendrix Live At Monterey program and featured Gary Moore and his band performing classic Hendrix tracks. At the end of the night Gary was joined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience for 3 tracks. Gary Moore was one of the finest British guitarists of all time and is one of the few players who could pay homage to Jimi Hendrix’s groundbreaking and truly distinctive guitar style. This is a stunning tribute from one master guitarist to another.
