“Bonnie and Clyde” were the real-life outlaws who terrorized much of the central United States during the early- to mid-1930s. The pair was killed on May 23, 1934 when they were ambushed and killed on a rural road in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Ambushed in their automobile, the couple was shot and killed by a posse consisting of four Texas police officers (Frank Hamer, B.M. “Manny” Gault, Bob Alcorn and Ted Hinton) and two Louisiana police officers (Henderson Jordan and Prentiss Morel Oakley).
