Ranking the finest releases by legendary artists – we’re lucky that our own favourites, have made the best music of the past six decades – the magazine tells the story of the world’s greatest music, through the lives of the people who made it. Drawing on classic interviews, profiles and eye-witness accounts from the Uncut archive, the magazine zooms in on sites of particular interest in the careers of our cover stars, while the bigger picture of their musical life is told in a series of richly detailed chapters, illuminated by rarely seen photographs.
