After the death of their grandmother, Julie and her young daughter return to their estranged hometown and find themselves with nowhere to stay. Frances Allen, a family friend and elderly matriarch of the infamous Allen House, offers them a room in her mansion. As Julie sorts her family affairs, she unearths the history of The Allen House and discovers the owners may want more from her than just company.
