Season 5, Episode 01 – “The Curse of the Von Erichs, Part 1”
The Von Erichs, professional wrestling royalty, crowned with extraordinary success and haunted by tragedy; under the iron will of patriarch Fritz Von Erich, brothers Kevin, David, and Kerry became the most electrifying trio in America, drawing record crowds and inspiring a generation of fans; but as their fame soared, tragedy struck: first with David’s sudden death at 25, then more heartbreak to follow, turning one of wrestling’s greatest success stories into one of its most haunting legacies.
Season 5, Episode 02 – “The Curse of the Von Erichs, Part 2”
The story of the Von Erichs enters its most devastating chapter; at the height of their success, brother Mike is struck by rare toxic shock syndrome; as the family struggles to recover, Kerry survives a horrific motorcycle crash that costs him his foot; the series of tragedies that follows is unthinkable; so haunting is their story that it inspired a 2023 feature film.
Season 5, Episode 03 – “The Four Horsemen”
The Four Horsemen, the first and arguably the greatest faction in sports entertainment history, as told by the men themselves. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Ole Anderson were four of the greatest performers in the ring, and with their cocky and arrogant attitude they revolutionized wrestling. Their name derived from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and their specialty came from brutality and believability, as they became the first group to take the fight outside the ring.
Season 5, Episode 04 – “Legion of Doom”
Joe Laurinaitis and Mike Hegstrand were two young men searching for direction when they crossed paths in suburban Minneapolis in the early 1980s. A chance opportunity led them to become one of pro wrestling’s most legendary tag teams, “The Road Warriors,” later known as “Legion of Doom.” Their journey to fame was marked by loyalty, obstacles and the struggle between one man’s family life and the other’s battle with addiction.
