The series follows Jenny Cooper, a former ER doctor and newly appointed coroner investigating suspicious deaths. Suffering from anxiety and recently widowed with a teenage son, Jenny is a woman of action driven by an intense desire for the truth.

Season 01, Episode 01 – “ Black Dog”
Jenny’s first case as a coroner affects her personally, as she is called to investigate the death of a teen in a youth detention centre. Her own life is upended by the untimely death of her husband and she learns to navigate raising a teenage son on her own.

When Jenny is called to a luxe condo to investigate the death of cannabis mogul Vic Stenton, she enters an alternate world where nothing is as it seems; Jenny starts to figure out what it means to live life as a widow, including the good and bad.

Jenny investigates a dismembered body that is found in Crother’s Woods; Ross struggles with his dad’s death.

Season 01, Episode 04 – “Quick or Dead”
Jenny chases a killer who is leaving a bloody trail across the city and has been in contact with her son.

Season 01, Episode 05 – “All’s Well”
While hosting Thanksgiving dinner with her father and mother-in-law, Jenny’s work life and personal life collide.

Season 01, Episode 06 – “Confetti Heart”
Jenny conducts her first inquest into a police shooting.

Season 01, Episode 07 – “The Suburbs”
Jenny becomes isolated from her team when the building goes under lockdown; McAvoy searches for a newly released killer.

Season 01, Episode 08 – “Bridges”
Following the death of a co-worker, Jenny and McAvoy discover clues that lead them to a serial killer.
