This is the new major update of Windows 10. Microsoft has released Redstone 5, or the Windows October 2018 Update – following the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, previously known as Redstone 4, that released back in April 2018.
Just like past Windows 10 releases, the Windows 2018 Update is brings a ton of new and exciting features to freshen up your PC experience. With features like a Windows 10 News app and improved phone integration, Windows 10 Redstone 5 is going to revolutionize the way we use our Windows 10 PCs.
The Windows October Update also brings some improvements to Windows Mixed Reality and even some Hololens improvements. If this sounds attractive, you’ll be happy to know that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update is available now.
Improvements to Windows 10 Fluent Design
Microsoft introduced elements of the Fluent Design user interface with the April 2018 Update, and at its Build 2018 event, it showed off more effects and features that will come in Redstone 5.
So, expect more apps, including standard Windows programs, using the Fluent Design interface, and there will be some eye-catching 3D effects for Mixed Reality experiences.
Improved Game Mode and Game Bar
Windows 10 Game Mode was already a clear benefit to gamers – even if it’s barely noticeable. With Windows 10 Redstone 5, Microsoft has stated that it’s adding more options to game mode to further optimize gaming performance, but it didn’t really get into specifics.
However, the improvements to Game Bar might be more noticeable, and even actually useful to PC enthusiasts and power users. Instead of having to run a third-party program like MSI Afterburner, users will be able to see visualizations of system utilization – think GPU, CPU and RAM usage, as well as frame rate. This will be an amazing addition, and will go a long way to informing users why their games start to run slow.
THIS IS UPDATEABLE JUST LIKE ANY WINDOWS 10 VERSIONS. ACTIVATION IS USING KMS WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE DOWNLOAD.

thank you very much sir max!
The activator doesn’t seem to be working. Tried it on the 32-Bit version. Please HELP…
Just an FYI, this version appears to be permanently locked into “notification mode”, and KMS as well as other activators are un-usable and will not allow any activation on this version. This version is OK if you want to pay MS to activate, but can not be successfully activated via patches or crks.
After install “System Properties” will say: Windows is not activated.
Run the KMSTool and select: “W10 Digital Activation”
“System Properties” will now say: Connect to the internet to activate Windows.
Now connect to the internet to activate Windows.
Restart PC.
Done, “System Properties” will now say: Windows is activated.
To check Run the KMSTool and select: “KMSAuto Lite” and click on the Windows Information button.
The License Status will be: —LICENSED—
Thank you very much Lenny Kay
hello max, Just a question I was woundering if this is just and upgrade would I have the option to back to my windows 8.1 if I chose to I haven’t upgraded to windows 10 yet and finding some software I do use is slowly telling me its not made for windows 8.1 so that’s why I wanted to upgrade I think but if I do use this download and install it can I go back to windows 8.1 if I chose to?
Thank you
Dear Darkwatcher2012, im sure you can revert back to windows 8 but its not easy my friend, windows is very restrictive and i really dont advise to downgrade, a clean installation to a previous version is always recommended, however i also recommend upgrading to windows 10, its so much faster and system itself is so much better than windows 8 in my personal opinion, i was hesitant before but was glad i upgraded to windows 10, thank you very much
