Considered, and rightly so, a Hong Kong action cinema classic, Police Story marks Jackie Chan’s initial foray into the stunt-filled action movie that became his trademark. Chan plays an honest cop Chan Ka-Kui in these action-packed 5-Movie box set.

Police Story 1
Jackie Chan is Hong Kong’s toughest cop. After his unit is assigned the task of arresting a major drug dealer, Jackie find himself engaged in a high speed pursuit. Jackie succeeds in arresting the chief villian. However, he is forced to watch as the man’s wily lawyer sets him free, thanks to a legal technicality. The vengeful villian then sets out to frame Jackie with the murder of a fellow police officer. Our hero is forced to go outside the law to prove his innocence, and finally bring the criminal mastermind to justice.

Police Story 2
Jackie Chan’s one-man war on a criminal gang has earned him a reprimand and a demotion from detective to traffic cop, not to mention continual harassment by the gang. He decides to take a long-overdue vacation but his leave is cancelled when Hong Kong is hit with a wave of bomb scares. Jackie unofficially follows up some leads of his own and tracks down the suspected gang. Knowing that Jackie is close on their heels, the gang kidnaps his girlfriend in order to force Jackie to turn against the police. In a spectacular climax rivaling that of the record-breaking original, Jackie rescues the girl and brings the gang unceremoniously to justice.

Police Story 3
Hong Kong super cop Jackie Chan is back on the beat, but this time he’s not alone. Partnered with kung fu fighting Mainland Chinese lady cop Michelle Yeoh, Jackie risks life and limb to inflitrate an international arms smuggling racket. The film travels all over Southeast Asia, and features some incredible stunts including a motorcycle jump onto a moving train. The beautiful Maggie Cheung plays Chan’s girlfriend and adds an interesting element to the plot when she appears at the most inopportune moments. The ingenuity of the stunts alone makes this film worth watching. Unlike some Chan movies, this one actually has a plot.

Police Story 4
The fourth entry in the “Police Story” series. Martial arts mega-star Jackie Chan battles on land, in the air, and underwater in his efforts to help both the CIA and a Russian intelligence agency retrieve a stolen Ukrainian nuclear warhead. Features classic Chan-style comedy and balletic fight sequences, including an unforgettable warehouse brawl in which his only allies are a stepladder and a broomstick.

Police Story 5
Wing (Jackie Chan) is the Hong Kong police’s resident supercop. He’s the best of the best, cracking every case he handles in record time. Fung (Nicholas Tse) is a rebel without a pause, a typically disaffected but street-smart Hong Kong youth who wastes his life in videogame arcades. Talk is cheap, and no one talks cheaper than Fung. Due to his family’s criminal background, it seems that Fung can never become a police officer, and follow in the footsteps of Wing, his all-time idol. Finally, Fung gets the chance to realise his goal of becoming a detective. He tricks Wing into joining force with him on the trail of a truly vicious band of foes: The Gang Of Five!
