Set in Toronto during the 1920s, Frankie Drake Mysteries follows the city’s only female private detective as she takes on the cases the police don’t want or can’t handle. Her gender is her biggest advantage – who would ever think a woman could be a detective? She has a knack for solving cases but she’s no cop – her brand of justice doesn’t always follow the law. Along with her partner Trudy, Frankie and the Drake Detective Agency take on cases of all shapes and sizes. From airplanes and booze running to American G-men, Communists and union busters, Frankie’s fearless sense of adventure gets her into all kinds of trouble, but she always manages to find her way out. In a time of change and hopefulness, Frankie is a woman ahead of everyone. She’s a new detective for a new world. But is the world ready for her?

A murder at a female fencing trial is investigated.

Nora is convinced she was visited by the ghost of a murdered woman; she makes Frankie and Trudy search their building. This leads to a shocking discovery.

Season 4, Episode 06 – “The Guilty Party”
The team investigate whether a man acquitted of a grisly murder is indeed innocent or guilty.

Season 4, Episode 07 – “Life is a Cabaret”
Witnessing a man’s murder; Frankie’s search for his lady-friend suspect leads her to an underground cabaret.

Season 4, Episode 08 – “Sweet Justice”
Trudy discovers that her new dream home has contaminated water. The gals investigate the source with help from nighttime vigilante, Lady.

Season 4, Episode 09 – “Showstoppers”
Mary looks into a morality violation by Rita Hart’s modern dance troupe. Frankie questions if they’ve brought the Spanish Flu to Toronto.

Season 4, Episode 10 – “A Family Affair”
A shakeup in all the gals’ lives sees Frankie’s dad alive but in danger, Trudy leave DPD, Mary going on the record, and Flo’s new family threatened.
